Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas and specifically the Houston area, causing massive amounts of flooding and property damage. As the people rebuild their homes and city, unforeseen problems are piling up. Construction workers in the areas affected by Harvey’s monstrous 52-inches of rain are in tough spot. Much of their equipment and vehicles were destroyed in the floods, leaving them with no way of even getting to work, let alone start the rebuilding process. Even for those who had insurance to pay for new equipment, it will take time to collect, and finding replacement equipment anywhere near the Houston area is proving difficult. The situation has resulted in delays in the rebuilding process, and hardships for all those left without an income.
