Klein Tools Announces “Electrician of the Year” Competition

Klein just announced their 6th annual competition honoring exceptional electricians, placing a spotlight on instructors.

This week, Klein Tools is beginning their search for their 6th Annual Electrician of the Year. This year’s competition focuses on electrical instructors doing great work educating and shaping the next generation of electricians and electrical professionals.

Nominations are now being accepted on the Klein website here. Six regional winners will be selected from these nominees based on three criteria: mastery of the craft, classroom/lab experience, and community dedication. The nomination period runs from August 19th to September 29th.

The regional winners will be announced on October 14th, after which a week of open voting will commence. The top vote-getter of the six regional winners will then be named Klein Tool’s “2019 Electrician of the Year- Head of the Class” live on Facebook.

Regional winners will receive an Ultimate Garage Package from Klein as well as $500 in Klein Tools products for their classrooms. The Ultimate Garage Package includes:

The Grand Prize winner will also get the Ultimate Garage Package, plus $1000 worth of Klein tools for their classroom and an additional $1000 cash prize.

“For six years running, we’ve been compiling stories from the best of the best American electricians, and now we’re turning our focus to the instructors who have inspired generations of excellence in the field,” said Greg Palese, vice president of marketing at Klein Tools. “Electricians wouldn’t be there without the educators who taught them to think critically, solve problems, be safe and contribute to their communities,”
