A Great Method For Exterior Insulation (VIDEO)

Matt Risinger visits a home that has an incredibly unique wall assembly detail.

In this video, Matt Risinger talks about a crazy cool wall assembly that features continuous exterior insulation with Rockwool COMFORTBOARD. At the home featured in the video the builder is using three inch mineral wool insulation to cover the entire exterior. While this may seem excessive to some, Matt likens this kind of exterior insulation to covering a home in a warm coat. For all of Matt’s thoughts on the subject, watch the full video above.

Sound Proofing

Mineral wool batts are denser than other types of insulation, making them better at soundproofing interior walls, floors and ceilings. Install batts between rooms or in the joist spaces between floors to reduce sound transmission. For more information on mineral wool insulation, click here.
