In this video, Jeff Thorman demonstrates the ceramic tile removal method that he has perfected over the course of his years in the trades. His number one tip? Don’t use a sledgehammer to remove tile… you could potentially break the floor joist.

Jeff Thorman resides in the beautiful City of Ottawa, Ontario with his wife Michelle. They have raised 4 awesome young adults, Kristina, Courtney, Matthew and Nethaneal.
His career began in the trades 32 years ago. Jeff’s work in home renovations did not begin as a general contractor. He started early helping his dad and brothers renovate century homes. After 8 years and 8 successful flips Jeff headed off to the trades to support his family.
After spending years developing his skills, and learning from masters in their own trades, it was time to own his own company. Through the years and numerous builds later It became clear that there was a serious gap in training and understanding in the professional world. Among the challenges were numerous contractors taking work without the ability to perform the tasks. His goal was to never take a job he couldn’t do himself and as such spent much of his time training and learning building techniques and project management all while constantly training young new tradesmen.
Currently while managing home renovation projects he is a creator for Youtube, creating and posting do it yourself videos along with his partner Maximilian Moskal who carefully and completely produces each show. The goal is to help homeowner’s do their own renovations and get professional results. It is jeff’s belief that there is no better contractor for your house than yourself.
