It’s hard to believe it’s not real
I spoke with Steve Ormonde, the co-founder of Focus 360, an architectural visualization firm. What is an architectural visualization firm? An architectural viualisation firm like Focus 360 builds crazy realistic 3-D renderings of floor plans. Give them house plans and material selections, and they can deliver an interactive experience that can help potential homebuyers decide which floor plan option they like the most. Builders can walk potential clients through a “virtual model home” that has photo-like realism. Plus, they can do it long before they even break ground on the real model. Focus 360 typically works with production builders of single family and multi-family homes. Each full interactive model takes about 6-8 weeks to create and costs between $4000 to $6000. Virtual models can be navigated with a keyboard, game controller, iPad or by wearing a VR headset. Check out an example of their work at HERE.
