Imagine new clothes and gear that will help keep you safe, keep you warm, and keep you feeling and looking cool.
High Visibility Heated Jacket
For pros who work in dark and cold condition, staying warm and visible are top priorities. Makita’s latest heated jacket is a solution for both problems. The jacket has a bright, fluorescent color and silver reflective accents that provide maximum visibility, and a power source that heats the jacket in five “core heat zones”: left chest, right chest, back and both pockets. It’s made with a polyester shell for water and wind resistance and five pockets for storing tools, gear and maybe even a snack or two. Don’t worry about things getting too hot, either; the jacket’s heat source has three heat settings (high, medium and low) so temperatures can be quickly adjusted based on the work environment or personal preference. The Makita 18V LXT® Lithium‑Ion Cordless High Visibility Heated Jacket can be bought online for $199.00 (jacket only, battery is required)
It’s safe to say that the construction industry has never been the home of high fashion. But that doesn’t mean that pros can’t wear clothes that keep them safe, and productive while also looking good. Reebok’s new Astroride Work shoe line combines a sleek, stylish silhouette with features built in for pros working in the field. Ghillie laces and a special heal design allow the shoe to be taken on and off easily, and the sole is made from slip-resistant rubber to help keep pros on their feet. Shoes in the Astroride Work line are lightweight, have MemoryTech insoles that adapt to feet, and are made with protective steel toes that meet or exceed industry safety standards. Work shoes from the Astrostride Work line are available now, with prices ranging from $97 to $105 depending on features.

Makita Cooling Jacket
“Put on a jacket” is not a typical solution to escaping a hot day. At least it wasn’t until Makita unveiled their new Lithium-Ion Cordless UV Resistant Fan Jacket. The jacket is made from a light, titanium-coated polyester that protects against the sun’s rays. What really makes it special, though, is a power source that accepts Makita batteries and powers two fan units in the left and right side of the jacket. These fans provide 15 hours of air circulation inside the jacket, keeping you cool and fresh-feeling over the course of a work day. For maximum cooling Makita has also built-in two ice pack storage compartments on the back of the jacket. As an added bonus the jacket has an on-board USB power port for convenient, in-pocket device charging. The Makita Lithium-Ion Cordless UV Resistant Fan Jacket is available in stores and online for $242.15.

More for the PACKOUT system
Milwaukee’s PACKOUT Organizing system is already a great way to keep all of your tools in order. Now they’re adding even more organization options with their new Low-Profile Organizers and Tool Bags. The Low-Profile Organizers are half the height of Milwaukee’s previous model but still have the same durable, impact resistant body. Each Organizer comes with removable bin dividers and bin seals that keep everything from sliding around. They are also IP65 rated to keep water and debris from getting in and potentially harming whatever is inside.
The Tool Bags are a brand-new addition to the PACKOUT system and come in 15-in. and 20-in. sizes. They have cushioned shoulder straps, top and side handles, and a large open space for your tools to lay in. Each tool bag is made from tear-resistant ballistic material and have a durable polymer base that will protect tools from water, abrasion, and impact.
Both the Tool Bags and the Organizers work just like any other part of the PACKOUT system, attaching and detaching from the PACKOUT module easily and efficiently. For more info on the entire PACKOUT system, click here.

Milwaukee’s new Tool Lanyards help prevent these wince-worthy moments by attaching a direct line to tools between 20-35 lbs., keeping your expensive equipment from being dashed against the floor. They feature locking carabiners, best-in-class shock absorption and serial numbered ID tags for easy tracking through Milwaukee’s ever-growing One-Key platform. Pro Klein Magnetizer
No, it’s not a floatie for your boat keys. It’s a Magnetizer/Demagnetizer from Klein Tools! The Magnetizer uses powerful rare-earth magnets to immediately give screwdrivers or drill bits magnetic properties. All you have to do is insert the driver or drill bit into the magnetizing slot and slowly pull it back out…like magic, it’s magnetic. You can then remove the magnetic properties from the tool by inserting it into the demagnetizing slot and, again, removing it slowly. The Klein Magnetizer/Demagnetizer attaches easily to tool bag, pouches and backpacks so you can always keep it handy. Buy one online or in stores for $9.97.

Portable fan built for the jobsite
The new 11-in. Jobsite Fan from DeWALT is a great little fan that gives you the perfect mix of portability and power. The main draw of this fan is its versatility. It has both corded and cordless functionality and can be hung, stood up or mounted. There’s pretty much no place on the jobsite this fan wouldn’t work. When in cordless mode it runs off of the standard DeWALT 20V MAX battery, which one Amazon reviewer says lasted for over 17 hours of runtime. Plus, the fan speed is completely adjustable. The 11-in. Corded/Cordless Jobsite Fan is available from most online retailers and in hardware stores for $79.00.
